Let’s give a helping hand!
For us, 2015 has been about giving, sharing and making beautiful things happen!
We didn’t want to end the year without visiting the beautiful children from the Oncology Section, Grigore Alexandrescu Hospital, as part of our project “Let’s Give a Helping Hand!”. This time, it was our turn to be Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas, Saint Nick, Father Christmas, Kris Kringle. And when we say “we”, I refer to the entire Questfield Community including children, parents, teachers and partners, such as the American Embassy
Here’s what happened: we barely told our parents about our campaign, that our spaces have become overcrowded with packages prepared with care from Questfield children to other children.
On Friday morning, on 18th of December 2015, we visited the children from the Oncology Section.
They greeted us with curiosity and a lot of smiles; it felt like they knew we were coming! The sooner we arrived, the greater the joy when they saw us with a lot of toys, sweets and clothes!
We loved to bring joy to their hearts and wished them to get well soon so they could spend the winter holidays at home, with their families.
Their mothers were also there, excited and happy that Santa exists! We thank them for the openness with which they received our gifts and for the sincere joy with which they encouraged their children to accept and enjoy our gifts.
We promise we won’t stop here! In January, we will visit more children as we will join the campaign “A Christmas story for children with no stories “, initiated by the Acuma Romania Asssociation.
We would like to thank all our parents, children, educators and collaborators who have contributed to our campaign “Let’s give a helping hand!” We are also thankful to Grigore Alexandrescu Hospital and the Oncology Section for their great welcoming and collaboration.
