Questfield is one of top 10 international educational institutions in Bucharest that, since 2003 follows the British curriculum principles, being also accredited by the National Ministry of Education of Romania. Questfield consists of a Crèche, a Nursery, a School and a Summer School.
It is the sport that activates the entire muscular system of the body. Swimming is not only fun, but also therapeutic (certain backbone issues may be improved through swimming).
The vibrations produced by the horses during riding activate a part of the brain in direct correspondence with cognitive development.
It is a complex sport that increases focus and greatly contributes to emotional growth. It activates almost all muscle groups, improves agility and eyesight.
Questfield invites all children with ages between 14 months and 12 years old to join our summer exploration of finding QuestFinn. QuestFinn is a magical little fish, eager to explore, to find out many interesting things, but also to have fun, because, of course, this is what summer holiday is about, after all! His parents brought him on the Mastery Island. Everything looks really fun over there, but QuestFinn is a little sad because he cannot find his best friend, COOL, and he even got lost on the island while looking for him. Maybe you have seen COOL! Why don`t we go find QuestFinn together and show him his dear lost friend. You can now spend all summer long, doing fun and challenging quests at the coolest Summer sChOOL in town!
SUMMER SCHOOL CONCEPT
The concept of Questfield Summer School is dynamic, organic, balanced, diverse, personalized and based on a mixture of 3 basic elements: Sports, Arts and Structured play. This international concept is based on the routines of mastery and collaboration, two key ingredients of life skills. The children are engaged in a series of activities: swimming, tennis, horseback riding etc., being constantly motivated to get involved in different projects within the weekly book activities. In addition to that, one student’s schedule can be customized with outings, expeditions and visits that nurture the children’s curiosity and their need to experiment (museums, farms, field trips, etc).
LOVE OF LEARNING
The entire teaching team here, at Questfield Summer School, is fluent in English, open, highly motivated and creative, but most of all dedicated to their profession. Since teachers love teaching, they teach children to love learning.
Our summer programme is designed around the mastery paradigm and rewards risktaking, encouraging children to try things out, make mistakes and learn from accidents or failed experiments. Our summer programme discourages students to place themselves in an endless competition with others. Questfield Summer School is mastery-oriented, being linked to high levels of motivation and engagement and promoting learning for learning’s sake whereas school programs known as “performance oriented” have been tied to greater anxiety and less resilience in the face of failure.
ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION FOR ALL
Our Summer School is open to everyone, interns or externs, Romanian or of other nationality, little or big. Summer School participants come back every year, bringing their friends, little brothers and sisters, not only to the next Summer School, but also to other school events during the academic year
At Questfield, we believe that the best teachers are artists who know the science of teaching. Our team of transformational teachers, who are highly-experienced in international learning systems, is joined during Summer School by specialized teachers for activities specific to the summer programme (swimming, horseback riding, tennis etc.) For little children who will start their learning journey at Questfield during July and August, this is an extraordinary opportunity to familiarize themselves and become accustomed with their future Crèche or Nursery Teacher. For bigger internal or external students, the presence of our team of teachers is the guarantee that we maintain a balanced learning context, aligned to the values that we are committed to.
