At Questfield
I joined Questfield International College in 2026 as an English teacher with extensive experience in both international and national education systems. I teach IGCSE First Language English and A-level courses, with a focus on helping students develop analytical thinking, effective communication, and confidence in academic writing. I also enjoy contributing to staff development and sharing effective classroom practices with colleagues.
My approach
I believe students learn best in classrooms where they feel safe, supported, challenged, and genuinely involved in the learning process. In my lessons, students are encouraged to think critically, discuss ideas openly, and develop their own voice as writers and speakers. A visitor to my classroom would see students analysing texts, debating interpretations, and engaging with language in meaningful ways. I value structure and high expectations, but I also believe humour, curiosity, and positive relationships are essential in helping students grow both academically and personally.
Beyond the classroom
Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, reading, chess, music, and learning new skills. I am also a certified archery instructor and previously taught archery at summer camps in the United States.
