Qualified Romanian and English teacher with a Master’s degree in Didactics and over 10 years of teaching experience across state and international education. Currently teaching at Questfield International College, with experience in curriculum development, pastoral care, and middle leadership within both Primary and Secondary settings.

At Questfield
I joined Questfield International College in 2019 and currently teach Romanian Language across Primary and Secondary. Alongside my teaching role, in the academic year 2025 – 2026, I served as Head of the Romanian Language Department, supporting curriculum planning, assessment alignment, and departmental collaboration. I also contribute to the wider life of the school through pastoral support, student initiatives, and projects that strengthen school culture and student engagement.
My approach
I believe students learn best when expectations are clear, lessons feel meaningful, and the classroom becomes a place where they feel confident to think, question, and make mistakes. In my lessons, I try to combine structure with curiosity, balancing academic rigour with discussion, creativity, and real connections to students’ lives.
Language and literature are subjects to study, and also ways of understanding people, ideas, and ourselves. Whether we analyse a literary text or explore how language works, I want students to become more thoughtful, articulate, and independent learners. I value consistency, humour, and authentic relationships, because meaningful learning happens when students feel both challenged and supported.
Beyond the classroom
Outside of school, I enjoy practical and hands-on projects, particularly those involving mechanics, woodworking, and problem-solving. I also deeply value spending time with my family and returning to the countryside where I grew up.
