At Questfield

I joined Questfield International College around four years ago because I strongly connected with the school’s four-pillar approach and vision for education. I currently serve as Deputy Head of Secondary and Designated Safeguarding Lead, teach IGCSE and A Level Psychology, coordinate the Work Experience programme for high school students, support behaviour systems across Secondary, and manage the coordination of the Leadership pillar within the school community.

My approach

I believe students learn best when they feel respected, challenged, and genuinely known by the adults around them. In my classroom, relationships come first, because students are far more willing to take academic risks when they feel safe and valued. A parent walking into one of my lessons would see discussion, debate, questioning, and students contributing confidently without fear of making mistakes. I encourage critical thinking and challenging ideas and biases, while maintaining high academic and behaviour expectations. I also believe learning should connect to real life, giving students experiences and perspectives that extend far beyond the classroom itself.

Beyond the classroom

Outside of school, I enjoy working out and travelling, both of which are important for my mental wellbeing and help me recharge from the pace of school life. I enjoy discovering new places, experiences, and perspectives whenever I have the opportunity.
