At Questfield

I joined Questfield International College in 2018, initially teaching English and Civics, before growing into a lead Romanian Language and Literature teacher role within the Secondary school and later becoming Head of the Romanian Department. In 2024, I had the privilege of guiding Questfield’s first National Evaluation cohort, a journey built around the belief that progress matters more than perfection.

My approach

I believe meaningful learning happens when students feel emotionally safe, intellectually challenged, and actively involved in the process. In my classroom, literature becomes a space for reflection, dialogue, creativity, and personal growth. My teaching integrates Project-Based Learning (PBL), Adventure-Based Learning (ABL), Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL), and the principles of the Zone of Proximal Development, encouraging students to move beyond passive learning towards authentic thinking and collaboration, from the classroom comfort to real-life challenges.

One of the value frameworks that emerged organically from our literature projects is the  R.O.S.E. approach (RESPONSABILITATE; ONESTITATE; SMERENIE; EMPATIE) — Responsibility, Honesty, Humbleness, and Empathy — developed together with students through character analysis, reflection, and real-life connections.

Parents visiting my classroom would see active discussions, student-led projects, visual representations of learning displayed throughout the space, and a strong sense of belonging, curiosity, and engagement.

Beyond the classroom

Beyond the classroom, you will usually find me navigating life alongside my three children, each in a different stage of development; an experience that continuously deepens my understanding of growth, learning, and human connection. I enjoy singing, exploring nature, urban challenges, and service-learning initiatives that bring people, purpose, and community together.
