Lindsey Astbury
Qualifications
BA Hons in 3D Computer Animation from the University of Wales, and an International Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Derby. 10 years of experience teaching ICT and Computer Science, from early years, all the way up to Year 13.
At Questfield
I joined Questfield International College in 2024, where I teach Computing to Primary and Secondary students, as well as Computer Science at the High School level. I also lead the Computing Department. In addition, I serve as the CIE Exams Officer, overseeing the organisation and administration of all Cambridge examinations within the school, including Checkpoint, IGCSE, and A Level examinations.
My approach
A large part of Computing is problem-solving, and in my classroom, students are encouraged to always give things a try. We focus on developing the learning process rather than finding the “correct” answer straight away. I support students in becoming comfortable with making mistakes and learning from them in order to grow and improve.
Beyond the classroom
Physical activity is very important for me; I enjoy long-distance running, basketball and many other activities.
