At Questfield
I joined Questfield International College in 2021 and, since then, have had the opportunity to take on a variety of leadership roles within the school community. These have included Head of Safeguarding, where I was part of the team involved in obtaining both COBIS and BSO accreditations, as well as Head of the Enrichment Programme, Head of Behaviour, Head of Service Learning, and Form Tutor for Year 8.
Currently, I am the Class Teacher for the 4–5-year group. After several years in leadership positions, I decided to take a step back from leadership responsibilities to reconnect with my first love: teaching young children. I enjoy creating a warm, engaging, and supportive classroom environment where children feel safe and are confident to explore, learn, and grow both academically and personally.
My approach
I believe children learn best when they feel safe, valued, and inspired to be themselves. In my classroom, learning is active, creative, and filled with opportunities for exploration and collaboration. I encourage curiosity, kindness, and confidence while supporting every child at their own pace. Parents visiting my classroom would see happy, engaged learners participating in meaningful activities, building friendships, and developing independence. I aim to create an environment where every child feels heard, celebrated, and motivated to develop a lifelong love of learning.
Beyond the classroom
Outside of school, I love spending time with my two daughters and continuing to learn about how to communicate with children and teenagers in positive and meaningful ways. I have a passion for reading crime and psychology-based books and have always been fascinated by understanding human behaviour and what influences people’s actions. I also enjoy art activities with my daughters, as well as spending as much time as possible in nature, which helps me relax, recharge, and find inspiration.
