At Questfield
I joined Questfield International College in 2023, first as Director of Digital Strategy and later as Head of Secondary and Deputy Head of School. I was our first Exams Officer when we became a Cambridge exam centre, and I am a deputy designated safeguarding officer. Besides leadership responsibilities, I teach Computer Science in high school and middle school.
My approach
I believe that the teacher should be the “guide on the side” and not the “sage on the stage”. I see it as my job to encourage students to take ownership over their own learning, while guiding and supporting them throughout the process. Having the space to make mistakes and learn from them is crucial in the learning process, and the teacher is there to give them useful feedback and to support them in finding their own solutions to problems.
