Qualifications
I am a qualified Early Years, Kindergarten and Primary Education teacher with over 33 years of experience, dedicated exclusively to international schools. Throughout my career, I have continuously enriched my professional expertise through numerous courses and training programs. I graduated from specialised programs led by some of the most respected teachers and lecturers in the United Kingdom, including Margaret Edgington, Martin Skelton, and Karen Knowles. My passion for child-centred education and international teaching environments has shaped a strong, creative, and nurturing approach to learning. In 2004, I also had the wonderful opportunity to visit the United Kingdom, where I observed the implementation of the new curriculum in schools and kindergartens. This experience allowed me to closely witness the introduction of the Phonics system in early education settings, further enriching my understanding of modern literacy development and effective teaching practices for young learners.

I joined this school because its educational vision and teaching philosophy deeply resonated with me, and I recognised an immediate opportunity to actively contribute to the development of this learning community.
I began my tenure as a Head Teacher and Enrichment Programs Coordinator. During that time, I prioritised the implementation of the Jolly Phonics approach and championed vocabulary development and holistic thinking through the exploration of literature.
While a significant portion of my experience here has been in Primary dedicated to Key Stage 1, I have now returned to the environment where I find the greatest professional fulfilment: early years education. Currently serving as a Reception teacher in our Kindergarten, I remain dedicated to nurturing the curiosity, confidence, and creativity of my students, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
My approach
For me, teaching has never been simply about transferring knowledge. It is about guiding a child’s discovery of the world. My approach is rooted in the belief that every child is a natural explorer. Whether we are unlocking the sounds of language through phonics, investigating numbers and shapes through hands-on play, or discovering how the physical world works through observation, my goal is to make learning an immersive experience. I design my classroom to be a safe place where curiosity is celebrated and where holistic thinking—across literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional growth—is woven into our daily routines. By nurturing their confidence and creativity in these early years, I aim to do more than teach them foundational skills; I want to show all students how to learn, ensuring they carry that joy and wonder with them for the rest of their lives.
Beyond the classroom
When I’m not in the classroom, you will likely find me exploring local art galleries or attending artistic events, as art is a deep personal passion of mine. I also love riding my bicycle out into the outdoors. For me, taking in the beauty of the natural world from the seat of my bike is where I truly feel complete, and it brings a wonderful sense of balance to my life
