I hold a PhD in Sociology and a Qualified Teacher Status in Secondary History, with over a decade of educational experience in secondary school, university, and NGO settings across the Netherlands, South Africa, Israel/Palestine, the USA, and Romania.

At Questfield
I joined Questfield International College during the 2025–2026 academic year and teach History, Geography, and Global Perspectives across different year groups. My role focuses on helping students build strong subject knowledge, confidence in discussion, and clear, evidence-based writing.
My approach
My classroom is built around questions, evidence, and clear thinking. A parent walking in would see students discussing ideas, using sources, practising extended writing, and learning how to explain not just what they think, but why they think it. I believe students learn best when they feel safe enough to make mistakes, but also challenged to improve. My aim is to help students become curious, confident, and precise thinkers who can connect what they learn in class to the wider world.
Beyond the classroom
Outside school, I enjoy long-distance hiking, baking, literary translation, and reading science fiction and fantasy. I’m especially drawn to stories, languages, and places that help me see the world from a different perspective.
